Apology and Rambling! TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE! ((OOC))

Well first of all, I adore you all and I am SO sorry for just kind of dropping off the face of the Earth. Alas, I have been unemployed for…well, a LONG time at this point, so most of my life has been desperately trying to find a job. ): BUT ENOUGH OF MY SOB STORY~

Anyway, I was requested by my dear friend Jim (AKA: jimtheviking) to toss my wild ideas about the languages, cultures, sexuality/gender topics, fashion/architectures/art/music, urban mappings, and occupations of the world of Final Fantasy VI.

Why do I do this, you ask? While my degree was in Art (BFA 4 LYFE YO), I also had a nice, healthy background in history, art history, psychology, and anthropology. I am also unemployed, a RAGING nerd, and have no life. So look beyond the cut to read my ridiculous essay-like writings ideas. 

WARNING: THIS WILL CONTAIN A LOT OF RAMBLING AND POSSIBLE SUPER NERDY HISTORY SOURCES. THEY ARE ALSO JUST MY THEORIES AND OPINIONS AND MAY NOT WORK WITH OTHER’S IDEAS, AND THAT’S OK.

I will break this up in several ways: World of Balance, and then World of Ruin. Of course we know WOR will be a bit bleaker, but still. The other way is Northern Continent, Middle Continent, and then Southern Continent in WOB, then by city/counties. In WOR it will be more fluid in location.  I will then categorize by subtopics. 

…Yes I realize this reads like an essay, so hush all of you. :p

“Class? As in social status or schooling? Mm, well, I’ll answer both! Class, in the ‘social status’ type of class, has always been somewhat silly to me. Hypocritical, I know, coming from the upper steps of Jidoor. But I’ve never found the appeal of having one’s circle of friends based upon their social status or lack thereof.”

“But class in the reference to schooling? Ehn…I was never an…er… attentive student. Or, well, when I had a Governess, that is. Usually because I would purposely get up long before dawn and sneak out my window and run off with Setzer as to avoid my lessons because we did not quite see eye-to-eye. …Needless to say, that didn’t last too long. But my schooling was much like any upper-class lady of Jidoor would get and more. Playing the pianoforte, languages, the general ‘lady-like’ activities. Beyond that, much of sciences, maths, and engineering was from my father.”

OOC: Hiatus

Oh dear, I hate posting this, but, alas.

I am on a temp hiatus because, well, finding a job is no me gusta as we attempt to move again. However, don’t think I’ve given up! I am so happy all of you like askdarryl! If anything, if people want, I can toss some of my drabble and other misc stuff up related to FF6 (namely Setzer and Darryl) just to keep steady posts.

But for now? Art must wait, but I promise to get back on the ball once real life is not a mess, ok? Thanks everyone. :D
